The connection between Herdade da Matinha and the animals is already old. They are currently free to rest on the property and we chose to have professional and passionate partners to provide these experiences in the region, outside the Herdade.
Horseback riding is an unforgettable experience, for adults or children, with a professional guide, insurance and equipment included.

Matinha is part of the Rota Vicentina , a network of walking trails in the southwest of Portugal with 750 km in the countryside and by the sea.

For bicycle lovers, the Rota Vicentina is also full of cycling trails on dirt roads or tarmac roads with little traffic.
You can bring your bike or rent an electric bike at the Herdade . We help you choose the most incredible places and the natural beauty of our heritage.

They may not be the easiest trails to conquer, but the sunset views from the nearby hills are a reward worth the challenge.

SURF & BODYBOARD: Many activities such as Surfing and Bodyboarding are very close to the estate. The beaches of the Alentejo coast are ideal to go on these adventures, whether in a private class or in a group, to discover the best wave.

STAND-UP PADDLE: Going up or down the Mira River, on the crest of the waves or riding the Big SUP, is another way to get to know the region, observe the different species and add a good dose of fun to the experience.

For those who want to feel the tranquility of the river without paddling and be enchanted by the surrounding fauna and flora, we suggest a boat trip on the river.
You can also cross the river Mira and get to Praia das Furnas by ferry from Vila Nova de Milfontes and vice versa, for a day on the beach away from stress and saving the environment.

At Herdade do Cebolal we witness a project that has been passed from generation to generation, with the same values of respect for nature and its family heritage. They are dedicated to the production of artisanal wine with low chemical intervention and sustainable and regenerative agriculture, making it possible to visit the estate, its vineyard and cellar, enjoy a wine tasting and immerse yourself in local traditions through ancestral gastronomic experiences.

Junior Jacques is a family and artisanal project, this time dedicated to the art of arbutus distillation, where it is possible to observe its production processes, from harvesting to tasting the final product, enjoying the flavours of the Costa Vicentina and the Southwest Alentejo.
